Pat’s Place is a comfortable and characterful holiday home in St Ives, Cornwall. Centrally located with parking on site, it is an easy place to arrive, settle in, and explore the town on foot. Beaches, galleries, cafés and coastal walks are all close by, making it a great base at any time of year.

The house was once my mum Pat’s home, and it still feels personal and lived in. High ceilings, natural light and an abundance of artwork give the space a relaxed atmosphere that reflects St Ives and its long connection with artists and creatives.

Pat’s Place is ideal for guests who want to leave the car behind for a few days and enjoy St Ives at a slower pace. Porthmeor Beach and the Tate Gallery are just a five minute walk away, with the town centre, harbour and coast path all within easy reach.

Whether you are visiting for walking, surfing, exploring the galleries or simply spending time by the sea, everything you need is close at hand.

Having hosted well over 100 guests, we are proud to offer a welcoming and well cared for place to stay in St Ives. Pat’s Place suits walkers, surfers, cyclists, artists and anyone looking for a comfortable and central base by the Cornish coast. Guests have full use of the living areas at Pat’s Place. A small part of the property, including Pat’s former art studio and a cleaning cupboard, is kept locked, but this does not affect the guest experience.

A Bit About Us

Hi I am Phil and welcome to Pat’s Place.
 
I am a St Ives local for 40 years plus and Pat’s Place is my mothers old house. Mum is still going strong and living in St Ives but has just downsized. Myself and my wife Sam took ownership of Pat’s Place in 2019 wanting to keep the place in the family and share it with friends, family and others that want to visit St Ives.
 
Working around the town for many years and with my father once being the mayor of the town there not much I don’t know about the town so am always happy to help , recommend and assist whilst planning your trip. We love Cornwall, and the sea and are surfers, swimmers and dabble in most outdoor sports.
 
As a family in 2026 myself and family have moved to New Zealand for a few years to experience the southern hemisphere however our good friend and long time St Ives resident Su is looking after Pat’s Place for us with good old mum occasionally also casting her watchful eye. Don’t worry myself and Su still respond to messages super fast should you have questions and Su is on hand should you require assistance whilst staying.
